WEEK FOUR: Letter D

  • Focus: Uppercase ‘D’ and lowercase ‘d’
  • Activities:
    • Letter recognition and identification (D/d)
    • Tracing practice for uppercase and lowercase ‘D/d’ (with accompanying dog image)
    • Dot-to-dot activity: “DINOSAUR”
    • Initial sound identification: Colouring objects that start with ‘D’ (e.g., drum, dog, duck)
    • Vocabulary building & tracing practice: Words starting with ‘D’ (Dog, Dad, Dot, Duck, Dip, Day)
    • Story reflection: Identifying a favourite word starting with ‘D’

Special Focus (Can be integrated throughout or as a dedicated session): Days of the Week

  • Activities:
    • Recognition and naming of each day (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
    • Tracing practice for the names of the days of the week
