Overview

This course is designed to introduce young learners to the foundational skills in language and literacy. Through fun and engaging activities, children will develop an understanding of letters, sounds, basic vocabulary, and early reading comprehension. This course spans 9 weeks. Each week focuses on one or two letters. Various activities are incorporated to reinforce learning.

Goals:

• Recognize and name uppercase and lowercase letters.
• Understand the relationship between letters and their corresponding sounds (phonics).
• Develop basic vocabulary skills.
• Practice letter formation and early writing skills.
• Enhance listening comprehension through stories.
• Identify words that begin with specific letters.
